Taxman's $14m retrospective tax grab
Nearly $14 million illegally collected in tax is to be retrospectively made legal by a tax bill currently before Parliament.
The move to retrospectively make GST on late payment fees legal legitimises $13.8 million taken in tax but not legal at the time, according to papers obtained by NBR
