Former TrustPower Ltd chief executive Keith Tempest is joining the board of Port of Tauranga Ltd, replacing Bill Capamagian who is retiring with effect from today.
Mr Tempest will be an independent director. He was chief executive of TrustPower for eight years and is currently a director of NZ Bus Ltd and Crown Fibre Holdings. He is also the independent chairman of the retail and consumer advisory group to the Electricity Authority.
Port of Tauranga chairman John Palmer paid tribute to Mr Capamagian, who was on the board for 16 years.
