The Warehouse has jumped into the growing pet insurance market with the launch of The Warehouse Petplan - which will be available either in store or online.

“New Zealanders have a real affinity with their pets and they are often considered part of the family,” said Phil Devlin, general manager of The Warehouse’s Financial Services division.

“With many Kiwis being impacted by tougher economic conditions over the last few years, having the peace of mind that they can have cover in place to help avoid large veterinary fees is a real comfort factor for pet owners."

Petplan is the world’s largest Pet insurer with over 1.5 million pets insured worldwide. It has been the leading pet insurer in the UK for the past 35 years and has offered pet insurance policies in the New Zealand market since 2009.
