UPDATED 2.30pm: The iPredict markets are suggesting the content of the teapot tape includes criticism of Don Brash and speculation over his future as leader of the Act Party.
Latest trading suggests punters reckon there is a 64.6% chance the tapes show Prime Minister John Key and Act's Epsom candidate Jon Banks suggest Don Brash will, or should be, replaced as Act leader.
Markets suggest there is a 56.6% chance Brash comes in for criticism by either, or both, of the pair.
But the chances of having these predictions confirm appears less than even with iPredict estimating there is a 51.7% chance the tapes will not be publicly released before election day.
New Zealand's online predictions market, iPredict, has launched new stocks on the back of the content of the teapot tape.
Prime Minister John Key and Act Party Epsom candidate John Banks met for a cuppa on Friday and part their conversation, which they believed to be private, was recorded by freelance cameraman Bradley Ambrose, a former policeman then known as Brad White.
Act leader Don Brash did not attend the meeting.
The Herald on Sunday and TV3 both have the recording but have not made its contents public.
Mr Key has since asked the police to investigate the circumstances of the recording.
The deputy editor of the Herald on Sunday, Jonathan Milne, said the content of the recording was potentially a "game-changer" for the election.
However, political editor of TV3, Duncan Garner, disagreed, although he said the content was "interesting" and raised some questions for Mr Key and Mr Banks".
