Vector Ltd has raised US$182 million (NZ$248 million) by selling notes to American investors via the private placement market.
The notes mature in December 2022.
Vector will receive the money raised in December and will use it to repay $250m of debt that matures in April next year.
Group chief executive officer Simon Mackenzie said it was pleased American investors had seen Vector as an attractive long-term investment.
"We consider the pricing reflects the quality of Vector's assets, financial structure and earning capabilities," he said.
