Veteran reporter Rod Vaughan has just joined the NBR team. We're happy to have the veteran journalist onboard, whose career runs from newspaper work to award-winning TV investigations.
But for better or worse, through 40 years of highlights, it's one moment - or should we say, one punch - for which Rod is best remembered.
Unfortunately, he was on the receiving end as (then) NZ Party leader Bob Jones - who went to ground after the 1984 election - objected rather violently to being located by the tenacious Mr Vaughan.
As fate would have it, NZ On Screen has just dug out the classic clip as part of a "Legendary NZ TV Moments" list of 17 classic clips (which also includes the likes of - cough - "Always blow on the pie" and Thingee's eye falling out).
