Watch Catalin Alexandru Duru become the first person ever to break the Guinness World Records Title for the farthest journey by hoverboard.
The Canadian engineer broke the record this week on Lake Ouareau, Quebec, after riding his hoverboard for a distance of 275 metres — more than five times longer than the previous record.
He did it using a propeller-based machine that lifted him to a height of about 5m above the lake's surface; essentially, he was standing on a drone.
