Vodafone has confirmed that its head of public policy, Hayden Glass, is leaving the company.
Mr Glass plans to take time out and travel around Europe, His final day is June 9.
The company's GM of corporate affairs, Tom Chignell, told NBR that Vodafone is looking to replace Mr Glass, but does not yet have a candidate lined up.
Before his current position, which involves tangling with the Commerce Commission, half-mad bloggers, and Tuanz chief executive Paul Brislen over issues like mobile termination rates and the high cost of global roaming, Mr Glass spent two years as head of Vodafone marketing strategy.
Mr Glass was also Vodafone's representative on the board of the Telecommunicaions' Carriers Forum (TCF).
Vodafone has yet to respond to NBR's suggestion that it attempt to head-hunt Ernie Newman.
Mr Newman was last sighted consulting to Kordia over its RBI bid.
