Hong Kong businesswoman May Yan Wang made a brief reappearance at Auckland District Court today facing three charges alleging breaches of the Commerce Act.
The charges relate to the collapse of her Dynasty Group tourism venture in October 2008.
In their report on the company's finances, the liquidators said she had failed to meet her legal obligations to attend a liquidator's meeting and they had been unable to source authentic documentation to help them unravel the company's affairs.
She was remanded on bail to re-appear on July 15.
Wang reresents a group of Chinese investors bidding to to buy $1.5 billion of dairy farms in New Zealand, including the North Island farming empire of the Crafar family, now in receivership.
