The Maritime Union has announced a week-long strike at the Ports of Auckland (POA) in mid-February.
Three hundred wharfies voted for the strike, from February 15, at a meeting this morning.
It would run until February 22 but would not be continuous. Union members would just refuse to work containers delivered or moved around the ports by POA’s majority-owned company Conlinxx, which has already been used to outsource jobs at the port.
