Apple may be ready to release its white iPhone 4 by the end of April.
Apple will be ready to sell that mysterious white iPhone 4 in the next few weeks, Bloomberg has reported.
The release has been delayed for 10 months, due to manufacturing issues including paint that peeled under heat, the website said. Previous reports have the iPhone slated for release in July. Cnet reported an analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, backing Bloomberg's report, saying the white phone will be shipped in April.
The report follows endless rumours about just when the white phone will be available, from late 2010, to February, to end of March.
The white smartphone will be available from AT&T and Verizon by the end of April but plans are not yet public, Bloomberg said.
Apple is not planning to release a new iPhone at the June developer's conference, a break from tradition.
Given the problems with stock of the iPad2 both here and around the world, perhaps this is not altogether a bad thing. If the white iPhone 4 proves popular, it might take until June to get one.
