This week, Lucy Lawless has been vigorously campaigning against Shell.
But an eagle-eyed NBR reader has spotted a TV commercial from the 1990s on YouTube.
While blocky, it appears to show a young Ms Lawless shilling for ... you guessed it.
Shell did not immeidately respond to a request for comment.
