BP and Z (the new name for Shell service stations) have cut 3 cents a litre off the price of petrol this morning.

A drop in oil prices prompted the move, the second in a week, which other petrol companies are likely to follow.

Customers at BP will now pay 212.9c a litre for 91 octane fuel, 220.9c for 95 octane and 155.9c for diesel.

The new price at Z stations is 212.9c a litre for 91, 219.9 for 95 and 154.9 a litre for diesel.
