Ewen Macdonald, who in 2012 was found not guilty of the murder of his brother-in-law Scott Guy, has been released from prison, reports say.
Macdonald was jailed for five years after admitting a string of offences, including arson, vandalism and wilful damage by killing 19 calves.
Mr Guy was shot on his Feilding farm in 2010, but Macdonald was found not guilty of the murder after a jury trial.
Reports today say Macdonald has been released from Rolleston Prison, weeks after being granted parole on his fourth attempt.
Macdonald is banned from entering the North Island on his release, and is not allowed to own a firearm or contact his co-offender, Callum Boe.
