A2 Milk has paid about $161.8 million to more than double its stake in Synlait Milk to 17.4%.
The company bought 31.2 million shares in Synlait at $10.90 each from Mitsui & Co and says this is a modest discount to the volume weighted average price over the past month of $11.16.
