In 2013 Michael Bezuidenhoudt was suspended from provisional membership with NZICA and ordered to pay $8000.

An accountant’s “very difficult” appeal against an $8000 costs order and his $1 million counterclaim against the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants has been dismissed.
And a High Court judge has urged him to “bring the matter to an end now” after being found to have no arguable grounds
