Labour provider Allied Work Force Group (AWF) has posted increased sales numbers but a flat profit, for the six months to September 31.

In a statement to the NZX, AWF said sales figures rose 35% to $54.5 million in the period, putting the company on track to crack $100 million in annual sales for the first time.

EBITA increased 31% to $3.56 million, but net profit after tax dipped slightly from $1.74 million to $1.73 million.

AWF chairman Ross Keenan put the profit dip down to a business slowdown brought on by the Rugby World Cup.

AWF shares opened 6.22% up in trading after the announcement this morning to sit at $2.05.
