Auckland fog disrupts flights
Pea-soup fog causes chaos.
Thick fog blanketing Auckland has caused chaos for travellers, forcing a number of domestic flights to and from our largest city to be cancelled or delayed.
Flights into Auckland Airport from Whangarei, the Bay of Islands, Whakatane, Gisborne/Tauranga, Rotorua, Palmerston North, Wanganui, Nelson/Tauranga, Taupo and Tauranga have all been cancelled.
Flights from Auckland to Taupo, Blenheim, Wanganui, Napier, Rotorua, Whangarei, Palmerston North, Nelson, Wellington, the Bay of Islands, Whakatane, Tauranga have also been cancelled.
The fog has also caused traffic disruptions on Auckland’s motorways.
