Charlie's becomes Better Drinks Co
The juice company says it will retain the Charlie's and Phoenix brands.
Japanese-owned drinks company Charlie’s, once a darling of the New Zealand stock exchange, is changing its name to The Better Drinks Co.
Charlie’s was listed on the NZX in 2008 and was acquired by Asahi Holdings in July 2011 for $129 million. Asahi is also owner of alcoholic beverages company Independent Liquor.
A statement from the company says it will retain the Charlie’s and Phoenix brands.
