New Zealand cities have dramatically dropped in Mercer’s 2016 Cost of Living Index rankings, primarily due to the rise in the kiwi currency against the US dollar.
Auckland comes in at 98, down 37 places from 61 in 2015. Wellington drops 40 places from 83 in 2015 to 123 in 2016.
