Craigs Investment Partners’ recent history

Another shakeup is looming for the country's share broking and investment banking scene, with Deutsche Bank understood to be eying a stake in local firm Craigs Investment Partners.Craigs has already seen plenty of change in the last ten years.

Another shakeup is looming for the country’s share broking and investment banking scene, with Deutsche Bank understood to be eying a stake in local firm Craigs Investment Partners.

Craigs has already seen plenty of change in the last ten years.

• February 2001 – Netherlands-based ABN Amro buys 50% shareholding in Craig & Co to become ABN Amro Craigs.

• October 2007 - RBS Group buys ABN Amro and in turn a 50% equity stake held in ABN Amro Craigs.

• April 2009 – ABN Amro Craigs buys back 50% Shareholding from RBS for $4 million, employs staff previously employed by RBS and expands into wholesale equities and research; and large cap investment banking.

* March 2010 – Deutsche Bank proposes acquiring a 49.9% stake in Craigs.
