Dairy commodity prices remained stable at Fonterra's overnight online auction, with the globalDairyTrade trade weighted index edging down 0.1 percent.

Dairy commodity prices remained stable at Fonterra's overnight online auction, with the globalDairyTrade trade weighted index edging down 0.1 percent.
That followed a similarly small 0.1 percent rise at the previous event a fortnight ago, after declines of 2.4 percent earlier in April and 8.2 percent in mid-March.
The average winning price overnight was $US4367 ($NZ5470), compared to $US4293 a fortnight ago.
The trade weighted price for anhydrous milk fat fell 4.6 percent with the average winning price at $US5670, skim milk powder was up 2.8 percent with an average price of $US3909, and whole milk powder was down 1.7 percent with an average price of $US3859.
