DraftFCB have come up trumps at the Effie Awards 2011, nabbing eight awards including most effective campaign of the year.
DraftFCB came out trumps at this year’s Effies, winning eight awards, including most effective agency of the year.
DraftFCB nabbed five golds at this year's Communication Agencies Association of New Zealand (Caanz) Effie's, one of which was the top award of most effective campaign, for ‘The Journal: sooner, better, more convenient treatment for depession’, and the most effective agency.
‘The Journal’, an online help and information programme for people with depression, was the golden campaign of the night, also winning DraftFCB gold Effies in the social marketing/public service category and the most effective digital or social media campaign category, while the ‘Getting through Depression’ campaign won the agency a gold in the sustained success category.
DraftFCB’s ‘Influencers’ campaign with the Alcohol Advisory Council of New Zealand picked up a gold Effie in the social marketing/public service category.
The Ministry of Health picked up most effective client of the year for the second time for its collaboration with DraftFCB on the National Depression Initiative, which included ‘The Journal’ and the ‘Getting Through Depression’ campaigns.
Colenso BBDO picked up two golds, one in the sustained success category for its ‘V The Energy to do Extraordinary Things’ campaign with client Frucor Beverages NZ, and the other in the most effective integrated campaign category for its ‘Beer – The Untold Story’ campaign with DB Breweries.
In the Limited Budget: Less than $300k category, the gold Effie went to Republik for its ‘Fujikistan’ campaign with client Fuji Xerox.
All in all, the judges awarded eight gold, nine silver and 16 bronze Effie, or Effectiveness, awards. For a full list of winners please see www.caanz.co.nz
