Envivo Engineering, Surveying and Planning has appointed Tony Smith to the position of Principal Engineer (Civil). Smith manages engineering projects, working closely with the project management team and structural engineering team developing a multi-disciplinary collaborative approach to project and client management.
He has extensive experience in civil and infrastructure engineering throughout New Zealand, including:
- Land development projects
- Design and construction management
- Contract management, negotiations, operational contracts and strategy
- All aspects of civil engineering, e.g. water supply, stormwater and waste water, refuse and district facilities.
- Roading asset management
- Technical Engineering best practice, quality controls and assurances
- Health and Safety
Tony Smith’s qualifications include NZCE (Civil) and NZIM Diploma of Management, CPEng and a member of IPENZ.
Plus Envivo is delighted to announce Ann Ton joins the structural engineering team. She has ten years’ structural engineering experience working in Singapore and New Zealand. Ton’s project work includes multi-storied buildings such as tower block condominiums, a hospital, jetty, boardwalk and viewing tower in a nature reserve as well as structural alterations to a seven-storey convention centre and malls. Her software skills include analysis using ETABS, SAP2000 and Staad Pro, Microstran and SAFE.
