The first poll since the flag referendum and the Panama Papers has National riding high.
A Colmar-Brunton poll of 1011 eligible voters April 2 to April 6, which began as the tax haven scandal first hit the headlines, has National up 3% to 50%.
Labour, which recently released front-foot immigration and universal basic income proposals, is down 4 points to 28%.
Leader Andrew Little's preferred prime minister rating tumbles 2 points to 7% - third-placed behind Winston Peters who rose 1 point to 10%.
Although the Panama Papers issue has yet to dent government's poll support, more revelations are promised. Prime Minister John Key has displayed a degree of concern, saying an independent review is likely.
