Fonterra hikes milk price forecast by 50c, solid result beckons

Fonterra has raised its forecast farmgate milk price for the 2016/17 season by 50c to $5.25/kg of milk solids.

Combined with the earnings per share for the 2017 financial year, of between 50-60c, the total payout available to farmers for this season is forecast at $5.75-5.85/kgMS.
