Forsyth Barr has picked up investment bankers Guy Williams, Robert Bogers, Rob Buchanan and Rory MacEwan.

Mr Williams, most recently head of investment banking at Craigs Investment Partners and prior to that a managing director at ABN AMRO New Zealand, is joining the company as head of investment banking.

Mr Bogers was named as senior director, investment banking, Mr Buchanan as director, investment banking and Mr MacEwan as associate director, investment banking.

"We are very pleased to have added these four senior professionals to our investment banking team," said Neil Paviour-Smith, managing director of Forsyth Barr.

The appointments demonstrated the firm's commitment to providing the highest quality capital markets and mergers and advisory services in New Zealand.

Forsyth Barr has 19 branches with about 110 investment advisers.

In March, Deutsche Bank, which has an investment banking team in New Zealand, announced the purchase of 49.9 percent of Craigs Investment Partners.
