Auckland wants a new stadium but Christchurch needs one.
Am I the only one who sees the numbers around a proposed stadium for Christchurch and thinks someone, somewhere is having a laugh?
For the moment let’s concede there is an argument to be made that any city rich in sporting tradition deserves a stadium worthy of that history.
