JBWere NZ appoints new chief executive

Tom Alexy has been appointed new CEO of JBWere New Zealand.
He starts with role with the Australia and New Zealand private wealth management and investment firm on January 16, reporting in to JBWere Australia and New Zealand CEO Paul Heath and joining the JBWere Executive Committee.
Mr Alexy has over 25 years experience in wealth management across America, Europe and Australasian markets, most recently as director, head of Asia Pacific investment consulting with Credit Suisse. Prior to that he worked with Merrill Lynch wealth management, managing large teams across a number of regions.
JBWere's Paul Heath says Mr Alexy joins the firm as it is "actively looking to grow the business" and "strengthen the brand".
Bank of New Zealand (its parent National Australia Bank owns JBWere) says the appointment of a locally based CEO reinforces the bank's commitment to a growing alliance with JBWere NZ.
