Learning State, the industry training organisation for the public sector which is currently part of the State Services Commission, will become a separate entity on July 1.

State Services Minister Tony Ryall said today it would become Learning State Limited, a not-for-profit Crown-owned company.

He said he was recruiting a board to run it.

Cabinet approved the change in February.
