Hamilton’s Citygate anchor tenant PwC has acquired the naming rights on the new development on the corner of Ward and Anglesea streets.
When the building is completed in July it will be known as the PwC Centre.
The site has been vacant for 17 years and the building is the first new office complex in central Hamilton in about as many years. It has a four-star green-rating.
The developer was McConnell Property. Senior development manager Aidan Donnelly says the building enjoys a sunlit north-facing plaza that will become a landmark for the city centre.

The five-storey, 5300sq m building has four levels of office space, while the ground floor has a mix of office, retail and landscaped public space.
Southern Cross Health Society recently confirmed its tenancy in the new building, which means it is 95% leased. It is due for completion in early July 2013.
About 235sq m of office space and four retail tenancies remain to be leased.
