NZ Certified Builders Association (NZCB) has appointed an additional independent director to its Board, Reneé Jaine.
Chairman Brent Chatterton said Reneé’s appointment reflects the Board’s focus on driving member engagement and on building consumer confidence in the value of NZCB membership.
“Reneé brings valuable skills and knowledge from her background in behaviour-change and communications and, as someone from outside of the building industry, she also brings a fresh consumer perspective,” said Mr Chatterton.
All other current members of the Board have backgrounds in the building and construction industry, including the other independent director, Gary Guernier, and four members of NZCB elected by the membership.
“We’re very much looking forward to having another independent perspective at the table, to support the continued development of NZCB,” said Mr Chatterton.
Based in Wellington, Reneé is Business Director at #ogilvychange, a behaviour-change consultancy. She is a graduate of the University of Auckland and the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Reneé’s first Board meeting will be in September 2016.
