The chief financial officer of NZX has resigned after just 11 months with the stock exchange company. Justin Bgoni is leaving to pursue a career in another industry, NZX said in a brief statement.

Mr Bgoni joined NZX in late April last year but has remained very low profile. His role will be taken over by NZX head of strategy Fiona Mackenzie.

Mr Bgoni used to be the chief financial officer for South African investment company Rasai Holdings and also used to work for McKinsey (as NZX boss Mark Weldon also did).
