Simply Group appoints new COO
Jane Armitage fills the role vacated by Murray Dyer, who moves into the chief executive position.

Simply Group has appointed Jane Armitage as its new chief operating officer to support the company’s growth strategy.
Ms Armitage brings extensive senior leadership experience from the energy and banking sector in operations, client services, strategy, change management and planning. Her management experience includes servicing a wide spectrum of clients including institutional, corporate, SMEs, advisors, dealer groups, high net-worth individuals and retail customers.
She also brings extensive financial services experience from across Asia Pacific in investment banking, funds management, superannuation, private banking, cards, payment services, trade finance and broking environments.
Murray Dyer, founder and now former commercial director, has stepped into the role as chief executive of the group, with a focus on strategic partnerships and the company’s expansion.
“We are excited to have Jane on board to support our existing clients and growth opportunities as she has fantastic experience in delivering client services, which is paramount at this time of growth,” Mr Dyer says.
Other changes include Stephen Peterson, founding director moving out of chief executive role from Simply Energy, and into director of innovation and growth for the Simply Group. This will include innovation and technology projects with group companies, such as with Axos, without any day to day interactions or obligations within the Simply Energy business.
Former general manager of Tenco, Nick Price has been promoted to managing director of Tenco, Simply Group’s 100% subsidiary property services business.
James Hutchins, who was general manager solutions for Simply Energy, is transitioning out to look for new opportunities, supported by Simply Group, while working on group projects, such as delivery of Axos projects and some specific client projects.
