Two bankruptcies in fallout of meat companies
Riverside Meats (aka Independent Meat Processors) and sister company Canterbury Fresh Lamb went into liquidation a year ago, with an expected combined shortfall of $15.7 million.
The failure of a Christchurch meat processing company once featured in Kiwibank ads has resulted in its two directors being made bankrupt.
